DH raves about this... Says it's fantastic - characters, plot etc. I see tons of articles about it with headlines saying same.

I watched series 1 episode 1 and found it bizarre. Now if I ever walk into room when it's on it's all shagging and nudity etc..incent was the last thing

So if you love it why? I adored the Sapranos and looking fir something to replace it. Should I give it a fair go? Or would I be wasting hours of my life???

I love it.

Totally hooked. It is all blood, gore, sex including incest.

Characters are fantastic and fully developed despite there being so many and so much going on. Brilliant acting, sets, costumes, story.

It's just brilliant. Best thing I've watched in ages.

I have never seen a minute if it. I don't know if I want to her not, my sister watched it and thought it was very much aimed at teenage boys, lots of gratuitous nudity, all female, she still kept watching though.

What I like about it is that all the characters have good and bad sides - it's not blatantly black and white. One of the best characters, and generally nicest, is on the "bad" family's side, but he's still loyal to his family. Unexpected people die, too, which is good for keeping you on your toes. But yes, lots of soft porn.

Do you have to have read the books to get it? I'm looking for something new to watch too.

Watched bits of it but never got into it. Too much violence. DH loves it.

We saw Joffrey in Dun Laoghaire last year.

I adore it. If I could only watch one thing on TV ever that would be it.

Every episode is like watching a movie. The unexpected happens all the time, you can't predict how it will go.

Don't need to have read the books, I'm reading them at the moment but am way behind the tv show and tbh I prefer the show to the books.

Trust me, there is plenty of gratuitous male nudity as well!

We love it here. The story is fantastic and so well told. We have just started rewatching it this week and it's even better the second time round, as there are so many details that I didn't pick up on the first time.

Way out Wesht!!
I dunno, I enjoy it but sometimes I feel it's Eastenders with medieval style clothing.

I watched the first episode last night and thought it was good. Was really shocked at the end!

Breaking bad is absolutely brilliant! I miss it so much.

I love it.. Intricate, political storylines, humour, a bit of the supernatural thrown in, and no character is safe.. It's refreshing to watch something that can still take you by surprise, even this far in.

Have you watched Mad Men? Later series weren't great, but first 4 were brilliant.

I completely agree with you!

I am constantly surprised and clinging to my seat. My fiance hates the idea of GOT but I on the other hand absolutely love it. I love that there are so many powerful women who are both feared and respected. And I love how these women express their power in so many different ways. The male characters have been great, but the female characters and actresses take it above and beyond.

It's not usually my genre of book or tv programme, but it is just so well done, interesting, thrilling and surprising all in one. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I say give it a shot. You have to watch a few episodes to get into it, but I highly recommend you give it a watch.

Did ye see this weeks? S04e04? God it was brilliant. The scenes with Jamie Lannister were so good. I hate that I am starting to love him so much. He threw Bran out the window! He is surely heading for a gorey ending.
