Hi Girls,

Am invited to a birthday dinner on 11th June for a family relation who is on holidays here in Ireland - She is cooking a Beef Curry, would love to bring a couple of nice bottles of wine - I am thinking that red would be appropriate??? Am I wrong???

I normally drink white Sauvignon or Rose...........

Any tips???

for curry i'd recommend a white wine - i'm not a fan of german white (riesling/guwertriminer (sp???) but had these a few times recently with curry and they were divine.

Thanks K, def a good tip there. I love white wine as does my Auntie esp Pinot Grigio - I can drink any nice white wine except Chardonnay - it kills me.

Defo with wine with a curry. A light pinot grigio would be good. There was a lovely one recommended on the wine club, the mcguigan black label pinot grigio was really good!

Thanks Girls!!! I love Pinot and so does the Host of the party, she is a real Wino!!! haha!

Now more advice if I can

One of the guests is a Wine snob, he is a lvly man but knows his wines, he lives in UK but is visiting for same party.

I would love to bring a really nice btl of red just for him, I can imagine him saying "that is a lvly red, where is it from?

And me saying Lidl!!!!!!!!!!!! haha!!! I want a nice affordable red wine, thats easy to drink, maybe tastes of more but is palatable to all foods esp curry.

Any ideas???
