After a lot of toing and froing, DS has finally decided what he wants for Christmas and has written his letter.....

But there's a problem, I don't know what it is. His letter says he wants 'a dongle that lets me connect my Xbox 360 controller to my PC'

Would anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance
A

DH said you might have to go to PC World or one of those places for advice because there are different ways of doing it.

Firstly is he talking about his monitor from the PC or his hard drive? You need to determine that. Once you know that they should be able to help you.

OMG I'm hopeless at this stuff :(

At the moment the main game he plays is on his pc but Can only use the arrows on the keyboard for controls. He says he can use his Xbox controller but he needs a 'dongle' for his pc so they can connect.

Does that make sense?

Just asked DH he's a bit lost (and he's good at technology particularly when it comes to games). Sorry. :lookround:

DH says he doesn't need a dongle. A wired 360 controller will connect to your pc via usb and do the job. He looked on eBay and they start at about 8 EUR plus postage.

So just buy a wired controller instead of his wireless one? That sounds simple :) thank you

So says DH, who used to work in the Xbox call centre. He tried our cheapo wired controller in the pc and it picked it up and was set to install it.
