My treasured IPAD was dropped today :stern: ...it's not the mini, the bigger one...don't ask which version!! The crack is along the side...ie. the black bit...the actual screen is fine. I can only imagine the cost to get it repaired. Can I leave it unrepaired?? Will it cause further damage?? X

It would be best to try get it repaired, if it gets any further damage the cost would be more or you would have to replace it all together.

Can you put it in a case to stop it getting worse? Or tape it together to stop it getting worse?
Yes realistically you should get it repaired but it will cost you.

Ours is in a case so it's relatively protected (it was in said case wen it dropped, but it was face down onto tiles).
I'd have to fork out for brand new screen, so it'll have to get much worse before I will! Scabby out I am!

Hi,
My dd cracked the screen on her iPad Air a week ago..
She was having something to eat and at the same time showing me some news item on the screen when the ipad slipped and hit her plate
I saw it happening as I was sitting across from her....as you can imagine she was devestated
We bought it in December in Currys and luckily we had taken out the accidental damage insurance at the time.
We rang up and they told us to bring it down to the store....they told us that if we did not have the insurance it would have cost around €200 to replace the screen
We got it back today...delighted...but when she came home with it she discovered that the button on the front is now slightly out of place...it remains pushed in sometimes when she presses it.
Will have to bring it back down tomorrow.
Abi
