Woman suffers miscarriage after bus stop attack

A pregnant woman, who was robbed by three youths at a bus stop in Manchester over the weekend, has tragically lost her baby as a result of the attack.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, 11th October, on Cromwell Road in Salford. The woman, who was waiting for a bus at 05.45am, was approached by the youths and had her handbag stolen during the frightening attack.

The 43-year-old victim was in the early stages of pregnancy at the time and unfortunately miscarried her child.

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery and will be appearing at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today.
