Presenter blasts pressure to lose baby weight

She gave birth to her first child, a son, back in January, and it looks as though presenter Natalie Pinkham is not about to bow to pressure to lose her baby weight any time soon.

The SKY Sports presenter, who recently welcomed son Wilfred with her husband Owain, opened up on her views on body image and how motherhood has transformed her life.

In an interview with MailOnline.com, the 36-year-old gushed: “Motherhood is absolutely amazing. It’s all that I hoped for and more. Throughout my life I’ve always been so focused on my career, but it’s just an incredible experience.”

Sharing her refreshing attitude to body image, Natalie admitted that losing her baby weight will be a ‘slow process’.

“I’m in no rush to lose the baby weight. You don’t realise how hard it is and how much you go through when you’re pregnant until you actually do it. It’s like your body isn’t your own anymore,” she said.

She added: “I don’t think it’s healthy for women to be faced with these images of people getting back into shape within weeks of giving birth, it’s unrealistic.”

It certainly sounds like she has the right attitude. This is such a special time, and it looks like she is relishing every moment.
