Pregnant star announces wonderful engagement news

2015 certainly has been an exciting year already for Coronation Street favourite and doting mum Samia Ghadie. Not only is the star expecting her second child, but she announced more wonderful news this week – she is getting married!

The 32-year-old actress, best known for playing Maria in the popular soap, took to her social media channels yesterday to reveal that her former Dancing On Ice partner Sylvain Longchambon proposed.

“So Sylvain Longchambon and I have some more happy news to share!” wrote Samia, revealing her news with emojis of a bride, groom and engagement ring.

She went on to show off her diamond ring on her Instagram account, while Sylvain celebrated by tweeting how ‘she said OUI’.

The couple are expecting their first child together. Samia, who is already mum to five-year-old daughter Freya from her previous marriage, announced the couple’s wonderful news back in March.

At the time, the actress tweeted: “Me and Sylvain Longchambon have some very happy news to share…We are having a baby!! Freya can’t wait to be a big sister later this year!”
