I love this thread. Great to see so many Vaginal births. I really thought the section rate would be higher.

It's not a choice in most cases to have a section !! (maybe I'm being sensitive...)

I agree knockmeup. I would have definitely preferred vaginal on the twins. Consultant just wouldn't let me with twin2 breech and him being the heavier one too. At same time, in hindsight, the section was not bad at all. Even recovery was better/quicker than expected.

I don't think babesno3 meant anything about choice. Remember when you were pregnant with twins, EVERYONE assumes that it will be section. I know when I mentioned vag delivery to anyone who asked, they were shocked. It'd be lovely if everyone got the choice but even with singletons, that's not the case.

So excited to finally get to fill this in!!! :D

Type: Identical
Boy/Girl: Two boys
Born at: 37 weeks
Weights: 6lb 3oz & 5lbs 10oz
Spontaneus Labour or induced: Went into labour naturally following scheduled ARM
C section or vaginal birth: Vaginal
Time between births: 11 mins
Special Care: Neonatal Unit 6 days
Any other Info: First twin was vacuum assisted after 40mins of uneventful pushing, Second twin came out in 2 pushes! (CUMH was the hospital, great experience there)

Born at: 37 wks 6 days (they are 4 now)
Weights: 6lb 6oz & 6lbs 1oz
Spontaneus Labour or induced: induced
C section or vaginal birth: Vaginal
Time between births: 23 mins
Special Care: no
Any other Info:
twin 1, one push easy peasy
twin 2, was being wheeling into theater for emergency c-section when waters broke, so they wheeled me back into labour ward, one cough and out he came!
