I am a total convert. Managed to bring several others into the fold on Facebook too after waxing lyrical about it last week!

http://www.amateurgourmet.com/2008/11/the_best_brocco.html

I loosely followed this recipe, which in turn was loosely following the Barefoot Contessa. I didn't use lemon zest, just juice, and I certainly didn't roast four or five pounds of the stuff! The two youngest aren't mad about it but eat it without too much fuss; DD1 adores it and she and I fight over the last pieces. Don't be put off by the brown bits: I thought it was burnt but it's just lovely and crispy.

It was meant to be Sausages and Noodles with a homemade tomato sauce....
Just phoned home as I'm at work this evening and DH (a veggie) forgot to cook the sausages

We had baked potatoes with savoury mince & cheese topping. Side order of broccoli.

Dessert is coffee & a choc chip cookie.

Kellie that sounds lovely. I think my kids would love that. I have salmon in the freezer so must give it a go.

Tonight we're having Chicken and Broccoli bake with baked potatoes. My Mum is cooking though as I'm working a little later than normal and DS1 has soccer training at 6 so I woudn't have time to feed him beforehand. I LOVE days when I don't have to cook after work! :bigups:

No idea yet for this evening, need to go to butchers but don't know what I want, maybe Oscarette's liver and bacon from the food club, big hit in our house.
Chicken and broccoli bake tomorrow night though!
