So you've just left me out in the cold as the girl who reads on the bog. Cheers. :stern:

Raven - you're a hoor. That made me well up. :stern:

I know! It made me well up too and that takes a lot!! I need to print this and put it in my "counting to 10 and time-out zone".

I think I need one of those zones these days. I also need to wallpaper my brain with this too! I am all tearful too now - that's just lovely.

That is just lovely and made me well up. I'm starting to come to the same realisation in the last few days and starting to trust myself and my abilities a whole lot more.

Really lovely read, and so true, mum was only saying the same yesterday when she was holding newbie still, 2 hours after I left her to bring ds1 to the shop for milk and we ended up going to the funfair and havin the best laugh ever. I'm learning to live in the moment lately and it's a wonderful feeling.

Ah that is lovely and it also brought a tear to my eye particularly the 2nd last
paragraph where she describes her 6,4 and 1yr old having a picnic..mine are
5,3 and 1 and I love nothing more than the little chats with the older two
That's it we're off to the park..I was going to prepare dinner but that can wait

Thats lovely and am snivelling here too
I don't remember a lot and am very guilty of seeing most of what I do as a parent as a task - a job to be done etc
I am going to try and steal moments - something I did on my wedding day as someone told me I wouldn't remember a thing - so I deliberatly snatched a moment here and there and filed it away - I used to do it a bit with DD too but I seem to have forgotten so am going to make a conscious decision to be present a bit more even if its just for some snatched moments

mistrel your park sounds like my entire day today with my 3 year old. only online now thanks to charlie and lola god bless them... I've a serious nutter on my hands lately. Lovely article. I loved a similar article a MM posted on fb this year, love it so much I printed it to read regularly... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/glennon-m ... 06346.html

I've actually started journalling for this reason, to stop and set aside an evening to write about an event/day/combine photos etc. Try and be mindful through journalling, it's a start anyway :) I did a photobook of last christmas with comments under it and it arrived the other day, I LOVE It. Packed it away for taking down with the tree in December. It took 2 hours, but it was that or watch another two episodes of House. Glad I did it, loads of wobbly photos and half baked comments but I don't have time for perfection
