Peacelily should be answering these herself, but her daughter isn't "in care"

Sorry, i thought she said this herself before, under one of her other guises.

Her child is with her father I am nearly sure she said the other day?

My daughter is staying with my mother since my relapse as I was unable to provide adequate care for her while under the influence and I would not neglect her.

My daughter's father has never even met her. His own choice.

Ah ok sorry, I must have mixed up posts or something. My own child is in the same situation, father has never wanted to know.

Sorry to hear that. It's tough. Do you get 1 million questions about him?

Off other people you mean? Not really and ds is only 2 so not asking anything yet. Not sure how I will deal with the questioning when it starts to be honest. How did you deal with it?

I hope the fact that you have a daughter and she needs you will give you the strength not to relapse again.

The first time dd mentioned him (apart from her first words being dadadadadadadadada :dontgetit: ) was aged 2 in the middle of Lidl. She had been in creche for a while, so must have heard other children talking about their Dads. She asked 'Where is my Daddy?'. I told her where he was last seen... I told her his occupation..

I told her as much as I know about him. She's 7 now, so the questions can be more 'to the point'.

I got advice from a 'professional' (see - I do get professional help!) as to how to answer the questions. There are articles I'm sure you could find online regarding how best to approach it.

The main advice was to be completely honest. Also, to mention traits/physical features which she may have gotten from her Dad.

And then I personally highlight all the people she has in her life who do love her and are in her life.

She goes through phases of asking about him.

xmygirls should perhaps look at herself first.

I know she didn't.

It's just that everytime someone mentions my daughter it's like a nine inch nail being hammered into my stomach. And believe me, I'm busy enough hammering myself at the moment.

I don't need to look at myself peacelilly I know im not perfect nobody is. Everytime someone tries to be nice to you on here you throw it back in their face. You are doing yourself no favours. But I do wish you well on your road to recovery.
