Raspberry leaf tea? I never got to go myself as was induced early but I was very favourable from 39 weeks. I took the capsules instead of the actual tea.

I thought it was the prostaglandins in semen that ripened the cervix???

Having a good laugh got me going on my ds3. Probably not a wives tale but it worked for me. Was in my friends house that evening till late, we were just drinking tea having a chat and a good proper giggle, you know when your laughing so much youve tears!! In early hours my waters went and by 9am that morning I had baby lol.
Best of luck.

I tried EVERYTHING on DD but to no avail I'm afraid.

3 of my friends went into labour after being at the cinema so I even tried that but didn't work for me!

Did your baby turn PB? I thought she was breech?

And you need the prostaglandins from a bucket full of semen...

And the curry or caster oil won't do any good, people only think they do because they make you have the runs, which coincidentally can happen at the start of labour. So they might make you go to the toilet but they won't make labour follow, so you needn't trouble your heartburn!

I tried sex......eat pineapples( but u need to eat tones so didn't work ), tried a hot curry .......rasp. Leaf tea doesn't! Put u into labour it just helps strengthen your uterus , really helped me with pushing stage + after birth

The only thing that got DS3 out was the absolute fear of induction
I was 9 days late and was due to check in for induction at 7am, he was born after a fast and furious labour at 6.20 am so just about made it

DD1 arrived at 39+1 after I ran, and I mean legged it all the way up the steps at pearse train station and onto the platform after walking around from Holles St and then had to stand a good bit of the way home to Maynooth. I was so tired I couldn't stand the thought of waiting around so when I heard my train pull in, I held up my bump and ran  Waters broke at 2am!

DD2 arrived less than 12 hours after a labour inducing session of acupuncture.

Nipple stimulation apparently-I knew this but just googled for more info-however you'd have to be fairly dedicated
- as it need a good time commitment!! :) -Apparently- you need to stimulate your breasts for an hour, three times a day. Spend 15 minutes continually stimulating one breast, and then alternate to the other breast for 15 minutes until the hour is up.

If you're still up for it- Nipple stimulation could well work if you're ready for labour. The hormone oxytocin is released in your body when your breasts are stimulated. Oxytocin helps your labour progress. It controls the contractions of your uterus (womb) during labour. Midwives sometimes use a synthetic type of oxytocin to induce labour.

Oxytocin also stimulates the flow of breastmilk. So nipple stimulation can help labour start, but only if your cervix has already started to soften, thin and open ready for labour. In a study, 37 per cent women who had tried nipple stimulation went into labour within 72 hours compared to just six per cent of those who had not.

Nipple stimulation tricks your body into thinking you are suckling your baby. This means you'll need to gently massage the dark area around your nipple (areola), not just the tip of your nipple. Place your palm over the areola and move in a circular motion, firmly and gently. You may need to continue doing this for some time.

If you're having a healthy pregnancy and you haven't had any complications then it's fine to try nipple stimulation. It won't over-stimulate your uterus, which could be dangerous for your baby. We don't know enough about the safety of nipple stimulation in high-risk pregnancies. So it's best not to try this if you've had any problems during your pregnancy, such as: high blood pressure, gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia.
