Yes that is definitely doable McMini. Best of luck with it.

Best of luck as well Faithful Nite. Janemary you're doing great with the online option.

Cocobean sorry I haven't a clue. Did you check the website?

Mum-in-need go back and read the books again from scratch. Do you actually attend class? Sit in on the new member talk again to try and stir up your enthusiasm. Also look at the back of your book and study how well you've done to now and have a think about how you would feel if you put it all back on again. Break your loss into manageable blocks like 5lb or 6lb a month. I would strongly encourage you to plan your meals three or four days at a time for say the next three weeks. Allow for some really nice low syn meals that take a bit of effort but taste good. Also allow for some treats either wine or desserts. Another thing you could do is try on some of your clothes that are too big for you and think about what it would be like to fill them again. On a more positive slant you could try on something too small for you and aim to get into it. I find if I start to go off the rails a bit the first two days back on track are the hardest and then I'm flying. Good luck - the best thing you can do for yourself is get back on track.

Syn free or low syn tasty main courses I like are Italian meatballs with pasta, homemade burgers fried in spray oil served with mash & veg, chicken curry, spaghetti bolognaise, jambalaya. There are loads more. Have a browse of the SW website for more ideas.

Oh and meant to say if there are any former contributors to this thread lurking and a bit embarrassed at joining back in please do. You're all very welcome. Draw a line under it and move on. It's a way of life now so whether you're still on the weight loss journey, be it start, middle or close to the end, the healthy eating has to stay forever. People will fall off the journey or hit a pothole here or there but the key to this being for life is to pick yourself up and jump back on the wagon. Don't use a few bad weeks as an excuse to give up eating healthily. Scratch that "sure I might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb" saying out of your head. Many a bad weekend can be offset by having a very good Monday to Thursday/Friday. :D Trust me I know because I have been there. This thread has gone a bit quiet so I'm sure everyone could do with the support.

Off to the cinema with dh tonight to celebrate 17 years since our first date.
Im so organised. I have made up a fresh fruit salad of pineapple, melon, strawberries and grapes and am bringing it with me. Dh is hangingnout for nachos but if i dont bring the fruit i will eat crap and i have already had brioche today so cant afford to break into more bad stuff.

Well done Wendy. :onfire:

Typical McMini - well done for staying on track.

I'm down 2.5lbs today. I'm flipping thrilled. Only 3.5lbs to go to my 3 stone award and my target. :Jumpy:

Menu looks good mum in need. It's amazing that SW lets us eat so well and still lose weight!

You're flying along Posher. Just saw your update. When did you start SW?

McMini - that's just what I would do with the Fresh Fruit Salad. Often do the same thing rushing out in the morn. Sounds like you stayed on track anyway, well done.

Girls, can I ask a question?
At the class the other night, the leader (well not thr main one, but one thy was with her) said "you can eat ten meals a day as long as they are 1/3 Superfree and 2/3 free" . Presume that's wrong (not that I intending to eat ten meals!).
Thanks!

Wow well done Deise - you're doing great. I know you've more to lose but you really are doing very well. If you lose the next 2.5 stone that quick you'll be doing it in record time.

I joined last August when DD3 was 2 weeks old. My friends and close family thought I was a bit mad (joining so early) but I knew I wanted to get control. I am so delighted where I'm at now. SW really suits me and has taught me a new way of healthy eating. I haven't lost it overnight - it has been a bit of a slog TBH but I have to recognise I hadn't a massive amount to lose given there was pregnancy weight there. I daren't think what I'd be like if I didn't join SW.
Mum in Need that sounds great assuming the chilli con carne was not from a jar iykwim.

zenmammy seriously you can eat as much as you like of free food providing you eat one third superfree. It is really hard to believe at first but it does work.

Well done ladies once again this week. You are all doing amazingly. Isnt it just great? I am still loving it and usually I get fed up of dieting after a couple of weeks. Mind you I dont really see it as a diet as you can eat soooooo much.

I was down 3lbs this week, so thats 2stone 5.5lbs since January. 1.5lb to go to the 2.5stone award. Going to try to get that next week although I have a party here in the house on Saturday night for DH's 40th. I will be doing salads for that shouldnt be much of a problem, its just the demon drink. Mind you I will probably be too busy to even get a drink.

Wow - dd3 was young alright when you joined. Good for you though, you couldn't really call SW a diet, more a healthy eating plan so why not.

They won't know you when you go back to work. That musn't be too far away now?

I'm back about 6 weeks. I have had a fair few comments but I also notice that people notice the weight loss but don't actually say anything. There is a girl in work that has lost 5 stone on SW - she looks amazing.

Well done Joke.

Another week over and another 1.5lbs down - We have a great night planned at group next week. Our class is in small local hotel - next week the owner is going to do a buffet of Slimming World dishes... Starters, mains and desserts. For €10 we will be having food after our weigh in..

Really looking forward to it.. They will have recipe cards done up to match all the dishes.

I have to say the group is a far nicer idea than the weight watchers meetings. Initially I thought the whole calling out of what people lost each week and what they had lost to date a bit "full on" but after being there for the past 7 weeks, I find that it is supportive. There are some ladies at our class that have had big losses BUT also have a lot to loose and they find the support fantastic. The leader is great too.. always available to answer questions and no problem contacting her.

We have been setting little mini goals for ourselves each week in front of the group so that I think makes you try harder to meet your little target.

Well done to everyone else, you are all doing so well
