Congratulations auntie, he's a beaut. Definitely takes after you, don't let that sister of yours be taking the credit :D

Isn't he gorgeous?!

Hope she has a fab first mother's day (nice timing on that front too ... though clearly that's not as important as accommodating 4LM).

Thanks a million girls. The brown stuff in the picture was toast (healthy brown stuff).

She ate the flapjacks in the delivery room. Some people are so me me me. Here's the pic of the carnage. By the time I went to get one this was all I saw. Obviously I was bawling crying and thumped the bed a few times till till the midwife got me some bourbon creams.

That was a very entertaining perspective! Great photos, the child looks half-reared! I particularly love the second pic. :-)

Congrats 4LM - he's is absolutely gorgeous!

And so lucky to have you as his Aunty - he will absolutely love hearing your 'birth story' over and over  Is this the first birth story to appear in the Rant section?

(oh and well done 4LM's sis :D )

Thanks girls. You are right though I was amazing. The midwives said I was "Unbelievable" and "took the biscuit" (I did they and they were delicious), I'm sure they've never seen a birth partner quite like me. I feel sorry for anyone pregnant having to go through the birth without me.

she's doing great, feeding is going really well. She slept brilliant last night and he fed just the once at 2am and then she woke at 7am and he was just lying wide awake farting away. Lovely. :D

Oh he is just gorgeous and as my Mum says looks like he "was out before"
She bombed it for a first timer!
What an amazing experience it must have been (for your sister  ) - seriously though there is nothing like seeing a baby being born so I can't imagine what it must be like to be there for your twin :inlove: it must have been so special for both of you

Fantastic idea! :-) Which business name would be best? "Doggie doula", "Puppy pusher", "Biscuits and breathing", "All for 4LM" :-)

LOL, that is the funniest bit!

Congratulations 4lm, he is beautiful, I am sure it's all due to your good work, but a Congrats to your sister too since she's obviously a very bright girl, picking a birthing partner like you...

I am extra specially delighted for your sister. And because she has to put up with you and all your nonsense and because she had to wait so long I have to believe she has been rewarded with one of the cuter babies this decade. He's extra specially cute. Congratulations to all your family, I know this guy is being welcomed in to a wonderful family with more love to shower on him than he'll ever get to use up.

seaflower I love your comment no need for wit. ;) Thanks for the lovely comments, I know I am a big messer but I am totally besotted with him and she is thrilled to bits. She is doing such a great job.

Look at this though. You know we are both id twins. This is so cool.

This is DS1 at exactly a week old so he was born at 40 weeks and 5 days. So this picture was basically taken at 40 weeks and 12 days.

The second picture is Conor at 40 weeks at 12 days the day he was born. Spittingimage.com
