Hiya
Im starting there in the morning and do not want to 28 quid for parking :bomb: so any tips on where to park ( that would be safe enough to walk back to at 9 pm) and cheap ( preferebly free :) )
I was thinking of parking at the park and ride at the red cow and getting the luas in but they dont start till 7 am on a bank holiday and I start at 730am .... I was also thinking of parking in st james .... think its 14 euro for the day ... but then thats a 15 min walk ... which may kill me after a 13 hour shift !!!!!!
Any tips appreciated ... I will be driving up the N4 if that makes any difference to you :)

Across the road from the entrance is a little cul de sac beside the auto parts place. If you get there early enough you should get a spot and its free. Just watch out for the double yellows . Good luck

Is there no staff parking?! Crumlin shopping centre is a ten min walk from there, I'm not sure of the parking charges though.

They charge the staff?! Madness! Maybe drive out today and see if you can find any free parking close enough? What about the Lidl car park on cork street?

Yeah it's the same for people visiting... DP was given a card for free parking when I was admitted and he had to go home that night because I wasn't actually in labour, I went into labour at five am and he was called in, when he went to get some lunch and a kip when DD2 was born (at around 1pm he left) he was charged the 28 euro for parking... he nearly had a heart attack...

They waive the fee if you tell them your partner just had a baby or if it's you in the hospital, I drove once for an appointment and ended up in for 4 days, the waived my fee

Dunno... they might have a sign up stating they'll do it :| worth a check though.

They give you a card with a discounted rate for partners now when you're admitted or in labour. If your admitted before your due date they will issue another one when you're in to have baby.

Like Tummytucker says, I always parked there and never had a problem getting a space. Its right beside CF motors.
