I've decided to change the colour of my gruaig but I don't want to make a mess of it. So, how do I go about going from blonde to brunette? I don't think I'd be brave enough to do it through a home colour.

i think it would have to be a salon, something to do with pigment and it would go orange with home kit

Did it myself over 2 years ago, but got a hairdresser to do it the first time - then went with the bottle :)

Snap! Never looked back, don't think I'll ever go back to blonde.

I did it myself just before Christmas. I went into a hairdressers wholesalers and got a red to put in my hair and a chocolate brown. The girls in there advised me. I put the red it - my hair turned a weird orangey colour, then I put the brown in after. I am now a lovely brunette (apart from white roots at the front sometimes  )

I'm actually thinking of going back blonde, getting a bit bored now, but still can't afford to have it done regularly so will probably wait til I go back to work

Really?? Even if I wanted to return to life as a blonde I'd never be able to afford it. My bloody mane grows so fast

Was looking at pics the other night, now there was a few where I had a full head of blonde - just completely dyed - wouldn't do that again, but the highlights where lovely so was thinking (and it's only thinking) of maybe getting highlights again. Although probably wouldn't be able to afford them what with childcare taking all my dosh.......

Brunette for another while anyway for sure :)

I'll get a price in the hairdressers so and get them to do the first part. I can't afford the maintenance of blonde either. I was a brunette before & it was too dark so hoping for a more rich/ chocolatey colour this time.
