He was the guy I saw - along with Dr Dick - when I was pregnant first time around Red. He's great, really nice and re-assuring, but also informative and interested
Glad disney went well ALMum, have you started your new job? I keep meaning to txt you, but busy busy.. Did you get to your gyne appointment yet?
DM, they are great results - well done you. I would love to have such a good HbA1c, but I know I would be running low the whole time if it was 6.0
Dutchie, how many bs's are you doing a day? I think if you want to really crack it you have to just check and check and look for the patterns.. Easier said then done I know.
Had an eye appointment last week where they discovered more retinopathy, after which they gave me an appointment to come back in a year and a lecture on trying to tighten up my control. FFS, stupid woman. As my dh says, I will be back assuming I can find my way being blind in one eye

I got in touch with my own eye surgeon and seeing him wednesday.
Then went to the diabetic clinic on tuesday. My HbA1c is 8.6, which sounds awful, but it was 9.1 so it's going in the right direction. The registrar I saw was great - really not happy with the way things are. He thinks the gastroparesis is the root of all my issues as I bounce a lot, and then it's hard to keep any pattern with that going on. He wants me to have a scope as I have been vomiting blood occasionally, and has put me on an antibiotic in the mean time as it may help. Have to see a gastro person to check that, and meanwhile they have re-submitted an application for a pump. Apparently it was never requested before, so that's why I didn't get funding

Between getting the gastroparesis under control and a pump they believe things can improve. I will wait and see.. The bad news is I think it's a different one to the one Red and ALMum have, so I am going to be clueless.
The only other thing was my cholesterol was 2.9 which I am very happy with as it was 4.3 last time and I thought it should be lower.
I can't take my difene or aspirin anymore, so not sure how I'm going to manage the shoulder pain, but my GP friend says I need to get to my own GP and work out alternatives. There are times between the pain in my chest and pains down my arm when I seriously think I could be having a heart attack, but I know it's just the lovely diabetes in all it's glory *sigh*
