Her shoes mainly and everybody elses. The onions and potatoes out of the vegetable basket. Or she does walk around with the animals out of the little people Noah's Ark that santa brought.

Same here and vice versa, they just want what the other has. He gets limited amusement from Lego, little people, balls, Thomas engines, stacking cups and has recently started colouring but nothing holds his attention for long.

That's funny, DS is putting my slippers on and off me now, also gets DDs boots for her every morning and tries to put them on her.

socks, shoes and coasters... she's not a huge fan of all the beautiful toys her playroom is crammed with. although she does like her little shopping trolley but gets annoyed to find plastic vegetables in it because we should know by now that it is for transporting laundry which has been pulled from the clothes horse :sarcasm:

At 19 months, and even now, he plays with empty milk cartons, empty plastic cups, fridge magnets and the cat. Was absolutely pointless buying him anything for Christmas!

DD a bit older but when she was 19mo she liked playing with
stacking buckets
her toy buggy and dolls
loves putting things in boxes and taking them back out again
balls
blocks/bricks - but we've had to confiscate these as she throws them at her brother

And emptying the green bin and trying to drink out of the empty milf cartons.

good to know she's not alone, i forget what dd1 was like at that age. non toy things are much more interesting too. she's a big fan of taking a bit of chalk and going out the porch and decorating the walls. its the only thing that will hold her attention. and ive been letting her do it cause it keeps her quite if i need to do something!

i was just saying to dh the other night that dd 18mths has only just started to sit and play with her toys.she has a noahs ark with all the animals and she sat for half an hour the other night putting the animals in and out.she also loves the teaset and cups and will sit and play with them.
but her main thing is climbing.she will take picture frames off the shelf and stand on them.she also takes the coasters and the phone.
i bought her crayons last week to see if she was interezted in colouring but i had to take them off her because she was eating them!

DD plays with our toy kitchen, making 'food' for every toy she sees. She also gets great play from the playmobile 123 sets my parents got her for Christmas, there is a hospital and a farm set. Duplo gets played with a lot, she likes building long towers of blocks and also sitting the people on trains and putting them through the doors/windows. She would play herself for 5-10 minutes or so, before she would need me to play with her to help the play along.

My Lo (20 months) doesnt play with any one thing either.
She loves to scribble and will do that for a while.
She'd love to pull the presses apart, especially the press I keep my baking stuff in, and she sometimes makes a foray into that before being apprehended.
She does carry one of her babies (little baby dolls) around with her a lot and puts them to bed and into buggies etc ..... and then takes them out and jumps up and down and throws them around the room if they dont sit right, they way she wants them to, in the buggy! :eh:
She also loves some of DDs shiney shoes so I keep meaning to buy hor some toy shoes.
She's outdoors a lot and plays with balls, on the trampoline and slide and any piece of filthy mud or sticks etc that she can get her hands on. Im lucky though in that the older 2 will keep an eye on her outside.

TBH i dont think 'toys' as such really hold their interest or long at that age.

Another thing. Water!!! Most LOs that age will play for ages at a sink if you set them up with a few containers and dont mind the mess.

Dd is nearly 18 months, she loves to 'read' her books, ride on car thingy, Little People ark, Happyland Bluebell Boot and various other little people stuff, toy cars and tractors, her tea set and especially her Teddies and Dollies.

Like a lot of the others, she also has a shoe fascination and loves trotting around in her welly boots. She also loves having things on her head and will go through a few hat etc changes during the day!

My DS is 15mths and he plays great with his Toot toot Garage, he will sit for 10-15mins on his own putting the cars in and out.
He also likes to play with his ride on, but more opening the seat, putting his cars in and taking them back out.

Putting the lid on and off the sugar bowl, i've dedicated the stainless steel one to his, as it can't break.

The dishwasher is his favourite toy of all and as soon as he sees it opening he's over like a light to sit on the door and take out the basket and put it back in, then tries pulling everything out as i'm putting it in

I often just throw a load of tubaware on the floor with the whisk and wooden spoon he spends ages banging and messing with them. Sometimes if i'm a really good mammy he'll get water too.
