Just looking for your experiences, I've just started taking PPI tablets Zoton - on them for almost a week for symptoms of dyspepsia or GERD or (possibly hiatus hernia or Hpylori) and I'm wondering about your experiences of the same.

I haven't noticed any improvement from the 'fullness' feeling in the throat and stomach, wondering how soon you felt an improvement?. I have no heartburn as such just the blocked up discomfort feeling and very occasionally gripey stomach pains/spasms. Did you take anything else aswell as the PPI type tablets? Waiting for an appointment for a Gastroent. Thanks.

PM me with any specific questions - I'm seeing prof reynolds in jamses

Yes, I have both problems, though not too severe. I take PPIs (Zoton) as I need them. They do take a while to kick in, and I keep taking them until the symptoms ease again.

I was told to avoid eating after 6:30 p.m. Coffee, alcohol and fatty foods should also be avoided. Mine is under control as long as I'm being good.

Thanks for replies, I've just taken a motilium so will see if that helps, do the symptoms make anyone else very irritable?! I'm like a bear with a sore head with it :lookround: Anyone link it to anything in particular as a root cause? I'm on thyroid meds too so wondering if there might be some link, the thyroid seems to affect pretty much all the systems in the body.
