The poor girl is only a child herself

In northeast China last Sunday, a 9-year-old girl gave birth to a healthy 6-pound baby boy. The identity of the father has not yet been released, although the police have reportedly been contacted.

According to news.com.au in Australia, the baby was delivered by cesarean section at a Changchun hospital, and both the mom and newborn are doing well.

Sadly, she is not the youngest girl to deliver a baby, according to other published reports. Two girls in Peru, ages 5 and 8, are both on record as giving birth to children of their own.

I must be dreadfully naieve but can girls that young conceive? are they getting periods that young? Do you need to have started to get pg? My DD is 5 on Saturday and I am sick thinking of a child her age having a baby..

i just looked up wikipedia there was a girl in peru had a baby at 5 years old, she started her period when she was 8 months old. the poor girl

What is the boy in question was the same age as herself or younger. They are both kids and did not know what they were doing.

even if this is the case, a lack of consent means that it is rape and n most countries regardless of consent below the legal age of cosent it is statutory rape

I stand by my statementmost,

boys do not hit puberty and ejeculate sperm till ten plus howevere there can be no doubht she had no understanding of her rights or to fully understand when the act was done what the result would be .I have a five year old daughter and I do not think a child of five or above could give concent do you ?:

Jesus that is so shocking! I would also agree that its rape, regardless of the age of the father. The poor child (both mother and baby!)
