Hi all,

recently I was looking through the recipes and think I came across a recipe for bbq pork that was literally pork and a bottle of bbq sauce in the slow cooker for a few hours. Am I mistaken or was it as easy as that? Would like to do a barbecue recipe this week, but looking for something easy. Thanks all.

Yes it is just get a really nice BBQ sauce i usually cook the pork first and drain off any fat and then add the sauce and cook some more.

I cook my pork in apple juice first, then pour over my own BBQ sauce an hour before it's ready. you can also take it out of the slow cooker and stick it in the oven for ten minutes when you pour the sauce over, it gives it a nice glaze.

Brilliant. Thanks all and to Riam for that BBQ recipe. Won't get to do it this week so it'll be a bottle but this weekend or next I'll definitely try that out. Looking forward to a different flavour this week as I've had my few set recipes on a rota and am getting a bit bored of them now. I got the Tesco finest sticky bbq marinade, hopefully it will be nice :)

Should mention that BBQ sauce recipe can be made well in advance and stored in the fridge in a sterile jamjar, and one recipe quantity will do two to three dinners.
