Ring your hospital and get checked. DS was born at 34 weeks (my waters just broke unexpectedly) and he was perfect, but it was scary. If it was the plug they'll start you on steroids for the lungs. Go in and get checked anyway. Fingers crossed for you.

+ 1 Riam,

Best to call the hospital. If you are called in and it's a false alarm, then no harm done.

If it is the plug then you will be in the right place and they can assess you and hopefully keep the little one in situ for a little longer. . take care.

Angel sorry to hear you've been having a worrying time. I agree with the girls. Give the hospital a quick ring and ask their advice.

Got through, have to keep an eye on it and head in if any contractions start....Crap i'm sure it's me freaking out that has done this. One of the babies kidneys isn't functioning,it's blocked and swollen and i've been stressing about it,really need him to stay in there as long as possible though. Need to stop worrying and concentrate on that.

Please God nothing will happen and babs stays put. Try and take it easy tomorrow. Re the kidney please try not worry too much. My friend has 2 children with reflux in the kidney. One has very little function in the right kidney but you'd never know. He's healthy as a horse. He's 11 now, he had a small op when he was a baby, has scans annually but apart from that he's just great.
Mind yourself mrs.

Best of luck angel09, hope babs stays put for another while. Don't have any personal experience of losing the plug but from what I've read it doesn't necessarily mean labour is imminent.

Angel09 - sorry to hear about the little ones kidney. The best thing you can do is rest up and read or do something where you've to engage your brain to try and keep your mind distracted (and hopefully not stressed). Stressing won't do you any favours.

Maybe treat yourself to a nice bath?

Angel delighted all has settled down. Here's hoping baby stays put for along time yet and that once born that the kidney issue will be sorted easily.
