if it rings and he's not there to answer it or vice versa.
we don't answer each others phone.
if dh's phone rings it usually someone from work etc.and i presume whoever is ringing wants to speak to him not me.
thats what voicemail is for.
he must think the same as he would never answer my phone.
do you?

depends who it is - if it's family or someone i know i'll answer it and vice versa he'll answer my phone but if it's a blocked/private no or work we leave it.

hell sometimes i don't answer my own phone!

Depends on the situation and if I knew the person who was ringing. If he was driving or out of the room and a friend of both of ours or family rang, then yes I would. Otherwise no.

Yes , I might, I saw that it was one of our family members calling,

If mine were ringing he would answer it if it were an Irish number, or a name that he recognised. But, if he sees that it's a foreign number then he knows that it's work related so he lets it go to vmail.

Yeah, if it was there and ringing and I didn't have an aversion to the person of course I'd answer it. Same as with my own phone?

yes. it is rarely out of his pocket but i would have no problems answering his or him answering mine. He's not working so it'd never be from work but even when he was working I'd still answer it. The only time I got into trouble for answering someone elses phone was when someone was seeing someone they said they weren't and didn't want me to know!

The odd time in case it's someone looking for him to do a job or if it's one of his friend's so I can take a message.

I would answer his if it was family or friends but mostly it's work and then I would let it go to voicemail.
He would answer mine too, it's not a big deal.

No, it's usually work or his mother so I tend to turn a blind eye/deaf ear to his phone! He would answer mine depending who it is if I'm busy or don't hear it

Not unless he's driving and tells me to.

He answers mine though and I don't have a problem with that.

I let on I don't see it ringing if it's his work, as they ring him way too much outside work hours. If it was his mum I would answer.

Yes I do, he tends to leave his phone in one place and even if it is work and I am nearer to it I answer it and take it to him or ask them to wait for him to come to the phone.

I never answer his because it is a business phone rather than personal but he always answers mine as it is personal only.

Yes, if his phone was near me and ringing and he wasn't within an easy distance, I'd answer it. His mother isn't very well at the moment so I'd hate to ignore it on the off chance that it was a neighbour etc. calling about her.

I wish he'd answer mine :sarcasm: I have a work and a personal mobile. Very few people ring me on my personal one so it'd be someone he knows 90% of the the time but he'll let it ring and ring and ring and not answer it if I'm not around. He gets along really well with my family but hates speaking on the phone so my mother would be calling and I'll have to get out of the shower to answer it because he won't. Same with the house phone, he'll only answer if he knows it's specifically for hiim- ie, his parents. He refuses to answer calls from private numbers too. It drives me nuuuuuuuts :bomb:

No, I don't generally. It's usually either a work call or his family, so best to leave them to voicemail. :lookround:

I nearly have a panic attack answering my own phone so unless dh was in the house with me to pass it to straight away id leave his phone ring. If it wasn't urgent they'd text/ring back/wait for dh to ring back. If it was family emergency they'd ring me next. The. I'd have to answer..
