I was talking with my friend today who is 6.5 mths pg with twins
One weighs 14 ounce and the other 16...

At the mo there is 10 mm of fluid around baby 2's head
They are keeping a close eye as it is borderline..if it goes above 10 think it could mean brain abnormality?
Anyone else know about this or have experience of it
Did everything turn out ok?

Mammy 09

I can't comment on the specifics here but we had a couple of scares with the twins from birth- from little bleeds on the brain that had to be followed up, a seizure, very large head (query fluid on brain) to an irregular MRI that was queried as abnormal brain development. We just had our last consultant appt before Christmas and happily consultant is no longer concerned and development seems normal.

One piece of advice for your friend is stay away from google. I read alot on 'brain forums' and to be honest they frightened the life out of me. Based on what I was reading I was 'self-diagnosing' all sorts of scary things based on worst case scenarios. Someone gave me a great piece of advice - 'Only the serious cases stay on the forums' - so you are unlikely to find the cases that have a happy ending on these forums. There will be most likely worries, waiting, and more tests and more waiting. There are no fast answers unfortunately and in alot of cases you are observing the child's development as your main indicator. Trust the doctors.

Carries lads, after a hard evening with the terrible two twos, and almost 7 months pregnant and hubbie away I was feeling sorry for myself, but your ticker reminded me to cop on.... You're a hero ! Congratulations. Hope it's going ok !
