Just wondering if anyone has read this (by PD James). The reviews on Amazon are a bit meh, but I think I'll go ahead and order it anyway :D . Would love some MM opinions if anyone has read it yet?

About half way through. Isn't brilliant but isn't bad either. My biggest issue is Darcy isn't really behaving like I think Darcy would (way too nice/accomodating).

DH bought it for me as he thought I'd like it. I went to look for it recently and he had taken it away with him and left it there! So hopefully after his next trip I'll get it back :D

Thanks for the replies, I ended up buying it and read it over Christmas. It is grand and readable but I agree that some of the characters are not consistent with P&P. Think Darcy comes across as a bit fumbling and timid, and there was a lot of rambling on about new characters which I found boring in places. I like the idea of it but overall it could have been better :) .

I liked it - didn't love it. Way better then "Pemberley" (by Emma Tennant) but not up to PD's usual standards.

Interesting - had been wondering about getting for my kindle but might just wait until it is cheaper!

Masterful analysis. Ended up skipping bits it was so dull. And Darcy and Elizabeth didn't have an iota of a spark between them. Don't bother with it.
