I have a Bara Barn ring sling that I had DD (6 months) in the other day and when I took her out I noticed red marks on her legs where the material had been digging in. She didn't seem to mind while being carried, but that's not really good enough. It can't be normal, can it? Where am I going wrong? I'm reluctant to use a ring sling again after that, but it was really useful to be able to wander around and get stuff done.

I do have other ring slings that I can try, and will try, but I'm curious as to whether anyone else has had this experience?

If the red marks dissapear quickly I wouldn`t worry.
I`m guessing that you will have less marks with the Hoppediz as the fabric is thicker. I allways keep around one third of the fabric gathered up a little bit at the back of the knees. This should prevent red marks and you need the fabric to make a good seat. You should also make sure that the knees are higher as the bum.
