What bulbs would be best to plant that will come of their own accord each summer?

Well my mini daffodils and crocuses are already out and my tulips are coming up too. They have all been planted at least 4 yrs and always come back.

I only know of spring bulbs - I've snowdrops and daffs (mini and full size) that come up each year. But they're in flower now. Not sure for the summer.

I had periwinkle which lasted 2 years, had to get rid of this atumn as had worms in the garden eating the roots. Not sure though if they can survive cold winter as am not in ireland. But they are beautiful and so colourful. Will plant them again in a few weeks

I have Lilies and Gladioli which never fail to come up each year. Going to plant some begonia bulbs when the weather warms up.

Thanks for the tips, I have the spring bulbs, but our garden is only basic at the moment as we need to plan it out, but bulbs are trouble free in the area I have at the moment. I just like to have a splash of colour other than the daisies!!!
