Just saw this list now, donated last Januray so must do so again soon. Dh donates platlets in St james every 6 weeks and whole blood every 12 weeks, very proud of him in this regard. He's actually due to be presented an award soon at a dinner thing in the Shelbourrne.

Just wanted to say well done to each and everyone of the MM's who have donated, unfortunately I cant donate as I lived in the UK in the excluded years but I was thinking of this thread over the weekend and then saw it bumped!

My mother had 2 blood transfusions over the weekend and is currently very ill in hospital but hopefully will recover and I was reading the information leaflet for families and patients afterwards and it struck me just what a fantastic thing it is to donate and never really thought about what it meant until now... but well done to everyone.

A&L that is something for you and your family to be very proud of. My dad got an gold drop also a few years back but it took him a lot longer to get to 50 as rural clinics used to be held only every 6 months.
