How are you guys all doing? Any news? Any new purchases?
I'm thinking more and more of a hip carrier these days as DS is getting a bit cranky on the back and doesn't know if he wants up or down a lot of the time :satisfied:
So Smurf I might ask to try on your scootababy if you have the next time :bigups: I browsed the babywearer earlier and was just blown away by the amount of stuff on there- wow you'd need a day to sit down and sift through it all! Some nice pieces available though :lookround:

Anyways, any ideas when we might meet in April???

Hi Cherubs,

How does Thursday the 10th of April sound for a meeting day? Do we still want to make it at Mahon point or will we do in at one of our houses?

I've been busy helping my sister try out different ones while she was here this week - I think she has fallen for the wraps and the tettitnett.

That's great Cvetik- the more the merrier!
I'm easy Smurf- the 10th suits me grand. I'm open to either having it at my house or travelling to somewhere else. What do you think/want to do?
Have you made any progress with the wraps! think i'm still in my 'comfort' zone of the Beco- so must start experimenting a bit more!
chat soon
Louise

Kate, would be great to see you down at a meeting - may get a few wrapping tips!
Cherubs, I'm loving wrapping for bedtime - we gout a couple of extra wraps for my sister when she was visiting with her six month old and she has been loving them.
I've found a cute striped didymos on german ebay for Lucas, it is a good bedtime one.

I can do either a weekend or week morning. Although a house would suit better for a weekend as Mahon would really be too busy.

Girls, Is it ok that Im not really using a sling. What I mean is I have a baby bjorn one - using it in the house at the moment and a baba sling - but can't use it.So Im coming to have a look at the other slings, possibly find something more suitable and will bring my baba sling. Can somebody show me how to use it? And of course would like to meet you all:) Is it ok? I am easy - any day will suit me really.

That's what the slingmeets are for! None of us know how to use slings to start with (and a baby bjorn was the first one I had originally with my first DS)

Don't worry Cvetik, most of us are just learning as we're going along! So you'll fit right in!
Thanks for the offer Sas! I've no probs with people coming here either (East cork) - it's about 20/25 mins from the city. But I'm willing to travel either, so whatever suits you guys really.

That week should be grand for me. But will be heading to galway that friday (11) for the weekend - (sorry kate!). But most weekends are quiet enough, so no reason not to have them the odd weekend I reckon

Great you flying with the wraps Smurf- you'll have to show us all!

Also Kate- just remembered Anja sent on some forms to bring to the next slingmeet, but I couldn't open them on my pc- could you send them in office for me??

Louise

Hi girls,
I won't be able to make it on a Saturday as getting new house together is taking forever. Weekends are for unpacking and furniture worries. But when you have the next meet during the week, I will be there!

I think so? :lookround: For this month anyways we might as well go with what we've planned.
So I'm presuming it's still next Thursday. Haven't decided a place yet though. What do you think Smurf?

Hi Ladies,
I'm hoping to make it, but hoping to be in 3 places at once!! I've joined the Cuidiu coffee morning circuit (which is Thurs mornings) and I've started going along to a Thurs am mother&toddler group in Churchtown South...
I'm wondering how I can possibly fit in all three...

Well what about the 9th then? Would that suit people better maybe?
Just a thought!

9th not good for me either (I seem to have become a social flutterby), but don't worry about me. I'm merrily using my Beco and won't need to satisfy my sling obsession for at least another month!!
