Hiya

we just sold our 7 seater and thinking of now getting an opel zafira, as i dont need so much boot space.

Anyone I've talked to with one likes them.

Anyone have any feedback on theirs?

We had a 02 for about a month, 1.6 petrol model, very heavy on petrol and engine blew in it after the month, thank god it was under warranty... took money back and bought a Xsara Picasso

We had an 02 one and have just upgraded to an 07, think it's a fab car..don't think it's overly hard on gas, great space in it, specially for the dogs.. :)

I've just changed mine for a galaxy. I'm spending half of what I was on fuel now. I had a 1.6l petrol zafira to a 2l diesel. Amazed with the difference, would never ever drive a petrol car again!

We had 3 over the years and they were great...sold our 05 one a while back as we bought a jeep.

Wouldn't get a petrol one if you're buying - get a diesel.

thanks all

for those who said it was tough on petrol, do you do long journeys? I'd only drive about 15 or 20 mins a day, so I was hoping a petrol would be ok.

I had an 07 with 200k km on it so yes I did a huge amount of mileage but in the last 18 months of having it I had that greatly reduced and did around 20k in that time but still found doing the school run and shopping and occasional trip to Dublin I was spending massive amounts on petrol compared to the same amount of miles now. I was filling the tank once a week now it's maybe once every 2 weeks or 12 days. A diesel wouldn't be suitable for the amount of driving you are doing as they need to get a good run out regularly to keep the engine running properly.

I drive very little and put 40 euros in the tank for three 7 mile about the same time frame your talking about .round trips a week at most ,I have had garage check it ,cant afford to get rid of it and to be honest if i could afford to it would be gone . I dont do school run this would be five of theses return trips a week more cos two diffrent children two diffrent times out of school I would resort to sitting out side school for the extra hour xx could not afford the petrol if i didnt get school transport .
