DS more or less has the hang of it, but if he's playing outside/a party/play area, it is impossible to get him to go to toilet. Hence, accident or two.

I try bribes but half the time treats don't work as he's getting them anyway (e.g. birthday party) or he's having so much fun then he wont leave. He's 2 and 8 months.

Ideas?

I learnt this yesterday in the shopping centre. I took ds over to the toilet and he wouldn't go. My mum brought him straight back and sat him down and rubbed the small of his back and he went - and we then got another hour out with him :-)

He then wet his pants as soon as we walked in the door :-(

I would just bring him. No negotiating or bribing or anything else. (and pray that nobody turns on the hand dryers which used to send ds into orbit with fright!)..

Unfortunately I need to have him in some sort of agreement, otherwise I would literally be dragging a screaming child in with me and he'd still refuse to do anything!

He's improve last few days though Thanks!
