It's my last day(ever) at work today. Giving it all up to become a SAHM.
Tell me positive things please as since last night I am starting to FREAK!

Enjoy your last day at work and the first of your new job at home.
I finished work last september and i love it. I find i am busier now than i ever was but i dont have the work stress so i am more chilled. Life is less hectic and time driven now as before i wuld have to get dinner at a certain time and it was all a panic.

Good luck

Good luck today. It is hard leaving work and the friends you have made. It will take you a while to get out of work routine. You will be great. I find I am busier than when I worked term time. I work in the evenings just 5/9 so that keeps me on my toes. MM is great company it is my coffee break catching up with gossip etc even it is virtual.

I left my last job after 19 years balled leaving the office. You give so much to your job but the job of being at home is brilliant.

Good luck.

xxxxx

Best of luck with it but from the other side of the fence I hate being a SAHM.

Enjoy your last day!!

I'm a SAHM & absolutely love it, yes, there are days that I'm pulling my hair out but they are few & far between & I feel very lucky to get to spend this time with my 2 boys.

I'm also a childminder so we don't get out and about as much as I would like so my advice would be to go to a few mum & baby groups if thats your thing. Playcentre's are great too & my oldest son absolutely loves a trip to the Airport or train station to watch planes, trains.

You'll never get these early years back so enjoy them :-)

Best of luck!

Yay! welcome to the world of the sahm!

Now i'm a sahm by default, i got pregnant halfway through college in the middle of a recession so there's no job for me really, and i'd never, ever have chosen to be a sahm, in fact it was like my worst nightmare. The one thing i never wanted to do was be a housewife when i grow up. :nervous:

But i absolutely LOVE it. I have friends with nice jobs in the bank etc that i was desperately jealous of, but i'm now glad i didn't have a decent job i felt i had to go back to. And funny enough now that those girls have had babies they just want to pack in work but they can't because they have to pay the mortgage. I'm so lucky to be a sahm. :inlove:

Good luck Miss Bumpy. You lucky thing!! I'd love to take some time out and be a SAHM but that ain't going to happen. So I'm very jealous.

Ah thanks girls, only seeing these replies now. I had a very emotional day on Thursday and then a massive party with my work crowd last night. They gave me a lovely send off so it was really nice.
