My very very kind sister has offered to mind our 4 kids for a WHOLE week in July!!! We decided that we need a break in the sun as we havent had a holiday ourselves since the kids came a long...almost 9 years now! Anyhow Id reallly love to hear your recomendations on places or hotels that you may have stayed in in the algarve or indeed any sun holiday suitable for a couple itching for time togethee !!! Thanks x

Vilamoura is stunning place. great for couples. Near Vilamoura we stayed in an amazing hotel Grande Real Santa Eulalia - divine but we were off peak and it was expensive - but if you got a last minute deal - elected....
So glad for you - will be nicer than your honeymoon with all that time on your own.

+1 to this! Make sure you request a renovated room.
Also The Crown Plaza.
Lots of lovely places to eat and great beach to chill out & relax!!!
I can give you some place to eat names, if you like?
