I'm curious, if you have, or something equally fancy, describe! :D

Yes, I am watching masterchef.

Yes!!
I have been v lucky to eat in a few around the workd but restaurant Patrick Guilbaud is my favourite :inlove: Adore it!!! Love the setting and having a pre dinner drink in the lounge while looking at the menu, the service is superb, the maitre d is excellent friendly on the ball and the food is just fab

We go there for really special occasions

(in Dublin have also eaten in chapter one which was lovely and Bon appetite which found dissappointing)

edited for appalling spelling mistakes...on the iphone thats my excuse

Have eaten in Bon appetit and Chapter one.
Overall, Was disappointed in Bon appetit, my main course was nothing special and I found the service a bit over attentive. Also, wine was minimum 12 a glass which is just silly (for a fairl ordinary pinot grigio)

Chapter One was really good.

With both, you needed to be fairly adventurous with your taste in food.

Have eaten in Chapter One.. And also Le Coq Hardi once many years ago....

Honestly, I found them both a bit like the emporers new clothes...

I watch masterchef too and enjoy it but honestly, if some of those menus were put to me in a restaurant I would probably struggle to find something to eat on it...

Did the tasting menu at The Cliff House last year, with amuse bouche and extra courses it ran to about 12 plates, a marathon! Have done a la carte there too it has always been a great and memorable experience.

I wouldn't really have any interest. I think it would probably be a waste of money not eating meat.

Have eaten in Chapter One, Bon Appetit and Guilbaulds and my favourite would be Chapter One - love the Maitre'd
Have eaten in a few abroad including The Fat Duck last year but was disappointed and enjoyed lunch more in a pub HB owns in the village the next day - it was one of the nicest meals I have ever eaten
My favourite restaurant in Ireland is Neven Maguires - just fantastic and totally unpretentious
I love food and eating out but I don't enjoy overly formal restaurants so Michelin starred ones don't really do it for me (maybe I am a pleb  )
I love going to somewhere where you don't expect to be wowed and get great food

I've eaten in Thorntons and I really loved it - had the tasting menu. I loved the food and the theatre. It was a birthday treat from DH a few years back. Chapter One is on my list.

I have only heard bad or disappointed reviews of Bon Appetit.

I've been lucky enough to have eaten in a few. The Waterside in Bray (Surrey), which I think still has 3 stars - had a tour of the kitchen there, which was great. A few in Paris some years back - the Tour d'Argent, Alain Ducasse, the Pre-Catalan.

Would have loved to have eaten in El Bulli... That was on my List.

I've had 3 meals in Chapter One and find it quite over rated, just don't see what all the fuss is. I've also had 2 meals in Neven Maguire's place in Cavan and it is far superior IMO

Have done a few masterclasses with him and he is lovely - and his classes are great
madamemac my DH tried to get a booking in El Bulli a few times (not that he had a hope!)
We can always go to Noma instead?

He does seem nice, I think it's his weird dress sense, I wish he'd button his shirts up!

Yes. Le Lion D'Or in Romorantin, France. Very nice experience - especially for a poor student

I dont eat meat! But I do eat some fish..... But I have found they always cater for vegetarians and some really different interesting combinations.

Yes. I love good food and the experience of a Michelin starred restaurant. My favourite is Patrick Guilbauds. I was there a couple of weekends ago for lunch, I took my parents as a treat as they would never do that for themselves. It is really lovely. And for the non meat eater I had the most amazing mushroom risotto.

I've eaten in Thortons which I found disappointing. Can't remember if L'Erivian had a star or not but have eaten there, not as nice as Patrick Guilbauds. le Rive in Amsterdam was fabulous.

Mind you had a meal in the Black Cat in Salthill last weekend and was blown away by the food.

I love eating out. Myself and my BIL think the ideal holiday would be a trip to France and northern Spain and to eat in a Michelin restaurant every second night.

Off to London in May and I want to eat in an Indian restaurant with a Michelin star.

Ummm, all sounds lovely. I've eaten in Chapter One a couple of times, I forgot that.

I am planning a visit to Neven Maguire's, sounds like you all enjoyed it.

I dont eat fish either and any menu I've seen from high end places don't look as if they have out a whole lot of thought into the token vegetarian option. Just not worth paying big bucks for.
