DS1 hasn't lost any teeth yet. Remarked this evening that his bottom tooth felt loose and there was something sharp in his gum. The second tooth has pushed through and is completely so that its forming a second row right behind the front tooth (like a shark). Needless to say we are off to the dentist asap. Do you think they will pull more baby teeth?

Ciara there was a post on this fairly recently. It might be good to read before you shell out for the dentist. It seems normal enough.

This has happened with DD1 with the first 3 of her teeth to fall out, once those 3 teeth were out the other teeth were half through but not behind them as such but right under the tooth falling out, the 4th one to fall out still hasn't a tooth so I'm assuming that it fell out because it was pushed with the other tooth rather than being ready to fall out...

Very common, nothing to worry about usually.
Ds had two second teeth in behind his two middle bottom ones, though one of the baby teeth has fallen out now and the other is wobbly.
They were further back but seem to be moving forward a bit now there us a gap for them to go into.

has happened with all of dds teeth so far (about 12!!)- I wouldn't worry- just means he won't have a gap when his baby tooth falls out  and they'll move into place when the baby one goes. one of dds eye teeth was actually coming out the front of her gum high up but as soon as the baby one fell out it moved into place.

DS1 had the same problem with almost all his front teeth, including eye teeth. DS2 only had it with his bottom front teeth, but his friend had it for over 6 months. In desperation, his Mum went to the dentist, and the dentist wouldn't do anything, just said they'll fall out when they're ready!

DS1 had this. I took him to the dentist who just told me to wait, he said they will come out when they are ready. They fell out a few weeks later.
