Ok promised Dd that after school we would go to d playground and have a picnic. So Im wondering what food do you put in your picnic basket. I plan on staying all day so will need a fair amount. :Jumpy: :Jumpy:

We went on one yesterday - kids are 5 and 16 months. I brought ham sandwiches, egg sandwiches (baby loves these!) and nutella sandwiches. Then a bowl of cut up strawberries & grapes, cheese slices and a few packets of Snax and mini rice cakes. I also made up a large bottle of Ribena. I find with picnics, I always need more than I think.

Other good things are biscuits, wraps, sausage rolls, pasta salad etc.

We picnic'd today and had:

Sandwiches (ham and cheese for kids, smoked salmon salad for grown ups)
Cooked cold mini sausages
Chopped melon and grapes
Crackers
Popcorn
Little buns
Cucumber fingers and hummus.

Spent the entire day at the zoo, seemed we were eating all day so just had scrambled egg for tea.
