Used to be mine too - easy meal for Monday. But kids get a hot meal at lunchtime and the school chef also finds it the easiest monday lunch so I had to re-think. I was complaining (joking) to him recently and he said loads of parents have said the same thing. He's not budging though.

Well they have a hot meal at lunch and a hot meal in the evening so yes. If the hot lunch is too crunchy granola/unfamiliar they probably have sandwiches/salad stuff as well (also provided). Thursday is bok choy, teriyaki salmon and wasabi peas- could be a turkey sandwich day for mine:). I always ask them what they had for lunch- I can still remember the day they got polenta "I don't even know what that stuff was!"

They are in school until 3.30, have athletics/games for an hour, and we don't eat dinner till 7 so they are all well able for 2 dinners. Gosh, finally I get to say on MM that my children are "well able" for something :)

fish fingers, pasta and pesto here. DH will not be impressed. Was planning to do Djerba rice, a Tunisian dish that I've never made before but I had a rather long lunch with a friend (my present to myself after 4 weeks of dealing with chickenpoxy kids!) so fish fingers it is!

I had 4 beautiful steaks ready, pepper sauce, potatoes and veg all prepared.......... until husband told me that he'd had a lovely feed in Eddie Rockets. I'm not wasting nice steak on him if he's not really hungry so I've put it all in the fridge and we'll have it tomorrow.

Instead, he's getting nothing  and the kids are having pasta, veg and sausages!

I'm having a bacon sandwich! I'm in hurry this evening so I'm not too bothered!
