I must read it properly now and get a few bits in.

This is day 3 for me - going well though I'm not great on the water. Discovered I really like the Green Tea with Jasmine from Aldi.
5 pounds down so far - delighted!!

Just had lunch - made chicken fajita's (sp?) for the family & I had the mix with loads of veg in iceberg lettuce leaves instead of the wraps- absolutely divine!

I'm another one starting on Monday as had lunch out yesterday and a BBQ tomorrow. Went shopping today for it. It's not a cheap diet by any means! So much lean meat, salads and tasty fruits. Still, it'll be worth the expense.

I don't eat eggs so it will be mostly fruit and yogurt in the mornings. I bought my first ever soy protein mix which I will take every few days (not sure if allowed on diet but whatever!)

I eat at 8, 11, 2 and 6 most days due to work schedule so I'll have my snack at 11 and hopefully avoid the 9pm slump :/

Love the taco/lettuce leaf idea, will put it to use this week for sure.

Great tips and great losses so far, girls. Good on you. I think a little loss in the first days can be so motivating, I rarely lost weight in WW during the first weeks and found it so hard to continue. I am also exercising 4 days a week now so I'll add in 17 mins on the cross trainer to the other days :)

I haven't weighed myself yet, am on day 2. Had to eat out last night at a party so I had cod, no potatoes. It was hard to find something on the menu that wasn't carb loaded. I had quite a bit of wine though and then forgot about the diet and had dessert

Ok today so far. Am having green tea now to help with the detox. What I'd reeeeaaally like is a big bag of salty chips and coke though.

Day 1 is almost over (if I survive my wine night). I found the diet fine so far but was prepared. I did not miss anything at all and felt much better.

I have not weighted myself before starting so will have to find a scales tomorrow.

Will update again tomorrow evening, I hope if I update daily I will stick with this.
Determined to stick with this diet, I would love to get down about 21 pounds.

My poor kidneys are drowning in all the water

polly13... that is fantastic. Congratulations.

I am sitting down now to do my meal plan for the week rather than deciding on the hop every day.

Hey started this on Thursday, day one and two and half of today went well (was down 2lbs this morning), but didn't do great this evening, was out and unfortunately didn't plan to be so when Mam served up one of her potatoes and mince dinners I couldn't resist..... and a little bit of trifle too :lookround:

I'll get back on track tomorrow hopefully!

5lbs down in total :-) I have lost all of my white flour bloat & am feeling very optimistic. My next goal is another 5.3lbs to get me under the next big threshold.

Soya yogurt with raspberries & blueberries is perfectly palatable!

I'm on day 3 here & Finding it so much easier than i thought i would (i could never have imagined a satisfying dinner without carbs). Hate the green tea but am drinking 2 mugs a day & loads of water with lemon in it. The book made so much sense to me that I'm finding it easy to stick with the plan, as I know it will pay off. We're out for dinner tonight but I'm not going to stress to much over it - I'll have the best dinner i can see on the menu with no booze or dessert.

Thanks again littlevoice for the email!

Oh dear and I was going so well, just goes to show what 6 hours in a car with dh and 2 toddlers will do to you :bomb: Back on day 1 tomorrow

Well done Lotwan thats great
Well done chipsticks that great as well for 1 one

Today is day six and I have 8llbs in total down - I am thrilled, I am mortified to say that I weighted 18stone 9 llbs on Tuesday morning when I started this diet so I am now 18 stone 1 llb, would love to reach 17st and half stone by the end of hte first 17 days, which is 1 stone 2 llbs. Weight has just kept going up and up over the last few years and two back to back pregnancies didnt help but ds1 is now 20 months so time to get my ass in gear. Also I have really bad back pain which makes walking difficult so if anybody could recommed other excercise that would help me that would be great. Went on the excercise bike on Thursday night and that was ok but my god I am really unfit.

Am really pleased with myself as I had dd2 in A&E on Friday night and Saturday night is normally my pig out night with crisps and wine and given the stress of Friday nights I would normally have fallen off the wagon at this stage. I understand that the diet might get boring but I dont feel hungry at all and that is a huge plus.

Even though this is an anomyous forum, I now feel I have publicy addmitted what weight I am (wouldnt even tell dh) so I feel better.
Good luck to everybody who is starting tommorow. Have the panadol to hand as you might get a sugar withdrawel headache but it goes after a couple of days.

Polly

I started out on Friday at 210.2lbs. At my lightest last March I was 160lbs. I was horrified over the last few weeks to see the scales rising and rising and felt powerless to do anything about it. Seeing 205.2 this morning felt so good. I haven't been hungry over the last 2 days and seeing the scale today made the effort so worth while.

I love that for the first time since MIL fell in February I am prioritising myself... and of course the kids are eating better by association :)

I would love to get under 200lbs in the first cycle :)

Same here !
LoTwan kindly sent me the pdf, so I've read it and am ready to start tomorrow. Last Oct/Nov I was just over 10 st and today I was 11 stone. :( It's mad, I need to just take charge of my eating patterns and get healthy again.

Spent today acting , and eating, like a condemned prisoner on death row - trying to get in all the yummy stuff that I won't be allowed eat .... yummy brown bread for brekkie lathered with butter, pizza & chips for dinner, blackberry & rhubarb (laced liberally with sugar) and custard.....it's like saying a fond farewell to some dear friends.... :D

So - starting from tomorrow, it's bye bye to the carbs (again !) and hello to the new me in 17 days time.

At work I could eat eggs and fruit for brekkie , chicken salads for lunch , yogurts and fruit for snacks and then in the evenings I'll have to figure out something.

Question - do I HAVE to drink green tea? I cut out regular tea last year and I just LOVE peppermint tea - would drink about 8-10 cups of it every day. But, green tea just doesn't do it for me. Could I drink the peppermint tea instead? or even white tea instead?

Hmm, think i need something like this to kick start my weightloss again, the scales are rising and it's not good!! Must go and see what it's all about. I know myself that I'm a divil for carbs and snacking at night.

LoTwan you're so good!!

I've my grocery list made up and am good to go :) I dunno about coffee without milk though, and apparently low fat acidophillus (however you spell it!) is hard to get, so I googled and it said I could add some drops to regular low fat milk. Sounds mad I know, but I can't drink black coffee and I need my caffeine!!!

We're going to DH's family all next week though, so not sure how that'll pan out. I don't want them to worry about getting in any special food, so I won't say anything and if I just try to steer clear of carbs I might be ok. Did I mention his Grandmother is Italian and that I LOVE her food?! Ah no it'll be grand :)

So, starting out at 140lbs and I want to get down to 130. Day 1 tomorrow. I'm like something on death row here gorging on crisps and margaritas :lookround:

Oh and the PMS week ... Thank you Dr!!!

Mini, if you pm me your e-mail address I'll send it on to you.

I'm on day 7 today, thanks littlevoice for the book. So far I've lost 7lbs. I am finding it hard enough. I've had too much chicken to eat. I did have a lovely omelette for lunch yesterday so I'll definitely do that another day.

I haven't drank any green tea, I don't like it. I'm still drinking coffee. I already drink black coffee so no problems there. Cutting out the biscuits and chocolate is really helping my sinuses too!

Only 10 more days to go!!
