Hi all,
Really not sure where to place my question. We have 2 beautiful healthy children and we are very happy but like most people I guess with 2 smallies it is busy. My pregnancies were tough and I find the first few months hard going, sleep deprivation etc. We had always thought 2 children would be ideal but something inside me feels we are not finished. However the thoughts of the pregnancy and all of that fill me with dread. My question really is I guess is it so much harder with 3 compared to 2? Anyone else in my shoes and thinking about it?
Thanks :bigups:

I've had rough pregnancies also, that was difficult to manage but I found going from 2 to 3 children far easier and more manageable than the jump from 1-2..........................and here I am now about to go from 3 to 4  !!!

Best of luck with your decision.

I found going from 2-3 a lot easier than from 1-2, but then again my older two were a bit older.

Definitely no plans on going from 3 to 4 though!!

I found 2-3 the easiest jump and I've got 4. No.3 was my easiest baby though and my easiest toddler. The main reason 3-4 was harder was because I had 2 different school runs to do every day and the juggling around feeds was hard.

OP - I could write your post
Just been up at my mum's and my aunt was over too - aunt asked if we were thinking about more...my mum went off on one about how difficult going from two to three (there are three of us!).
My biggest problems are that we would have to move house and change the car. A friend who has four said their last was the most expensive; the seven seater!!!!

I will be bluntly honest, it was pure madness, for us it was a massive jump, even though the baby is a happy little boy who demands very little attention. He is now 8 months and only recently I'm starting to feel that maybe someday I'll manage to get on top of my life again. I wouldn't change him for the world but I find life is much more suited to 2 rather than 3+ children. I don't know, maybe because everybody was saying how the third just slots in, that's why we found, and still do find it, really hard.

Agree with this 100% - loads of people were saying as the posters above say-going from 1-2 was harder..liars  No seriously I found it hard..2 little people looking for attention when you have just had a baby is not easy - but I wouldn't change it for the world either :inlove:

Agree. 1-2 we barely noticed the change. 2-3 was a huge adjustment. Don't even ask about 3-4

I found 2-3 quite an easy adjustment, but the older 2 were 9 and 5 when baby came along, so I wasn't dealing with toddlers. We always thought We were happy with 2 until I had my surprise pregnancy last year. Now we feel that our ds2 was missing from our lives, and feel our lives are more complete now. Utter sop sorry :-)

Having said that, I think once you get that niggling doubt at the back of your mind about having another, you will try regardless of what everybody else tells you

This exactly this describes my life to a T. DD2 is great easily amused minded etc but my life is manic and its just gotten worse cos ive gone back to work. Im hoping it will settle down when DD2 is !.

Yes i'm considering this big step too, have just convinced DH it's the right thing for us but in my head i'm thinking oh shit do I really want to upend my life. We have the perfect balance right now and its a really big step to take but I don't think my niggles for another will go away if I don't fulfill them.

Best of luck with your decision!

0-1 was the hardest for me and dh!
1-2 was easiest and we reckon that 2-3 ... well the jury is out on that one, he is causing all sorts of issues here at the mo but wouldn't get a refund on him just yet!

Dh reckons its all just adding to the madness after 2 anyhow..

But I'm reconsidering my thoughts on no 4, not sure I'd be able for it...... I'd have to wait for ds2 to be old enough to go again and by then I cant imagine myself starting the sleepless nights all over again... ( pregnancy I can do no worries but the nights are getting to me)... If I could have no 4 now and do baby 3 and 4 doing sleepless nights together that would be better :sarcasm:
