Snap joke, I'm also 0.5 lb up but thrilled to get away at that. I missed my weigh in last Wednesday, flew home from hols yesterday and went to weigh in 2 hours later, decided I was better to brave it than freefall for the full week again.

Anyway, I can cope with 1/2 lb. Just went shopping and got every form of fruit and vegetable ready for next week. Going to try to stay away from carbs (and Easter eggs) and see how I get on.

I'm at 30.5 lbs at this stage and still have AT LEAST that to go.

Apart from bringing a sandwich isnt it so hard to get a light lunch or breakfast....DD had apt in Tallaght hospital this morn and I was so tempted by the yummy scones in the restaurant that when I saw the muller lights I was thrown a lifeline !!! anyway we headed into town after apt and DD is very limited where she can eat so we went to supermacs in O Connell ST...at this stage we were both falling with hunger...i ended up having a salad from the salad bar,it was a ranch salad which I had no idea about....the garlic bread side I didnt touch, loads of lettuce with beef and bacon, cheese melted over but was able to remove most....a ranch dressing and the mayo dressing was in a tub so didnt have that either...felt I did ok but prob not....could have been alot worse as the alternative was a sub from subway....

in subway you can get a salad bowl, you can pick what you want, so you are not depriving yourself, just dont have the bread, i was down 2lbs tonight

That is bloody brilliant Deise. Just think you could have been putting on weight or doing nothing about it in that time. Instead you're lost 30.5 lbs. Yes I know you've more to go but in fairness I think you've done really, really well. You should be very pleased with yourself.

Thanks Girls, am happy with it so far, just can't help but look at the long road ahead sometimes.

I can't wait to be able to go into Dunnes or Penneys and pick up something cheap and cheerful on a whim, without getting stressed out at sizes.

@eilismc - focus on it going in the right direction. If you had started this time last year and lost 1/2 lb a week you'd be 2 stone or so lighter!

I know - it is in the right direction. I'm not sure if I am eating enough "syns" - somedays I don't use any of them... Not deliberately, just don't use them

Eg today I had

Strawberries & Fat Free Natural fromage Frais with a shake of candarel for breakfast

Grapefruit (mid-morning)

HM Tomato & Basil Soup with 2 ryvita original
Chopped apple & Grapes with Vanilla MullerLight

Pasta with sauce made from Passata, Bacon Medallions, Chopped Onion, Chopped Red Pepper (fried in fry-lite)
Orange

3-4 mugs of tea with LF Milk (I don't take much milk so definitely didn't use my 250ml Hex A allowance)

So no Syns but yet I ate loads and wasn't hungry - Do ye think that is enough to eat or should I be eating more syns ?

I'm no help eilismc coz I don't use my syns either.

My menus are so like yours it's scary. Various medleys of diced fruit for b/fast with Tesco FFFF. Lunch is usually homemade soup with salad. Pasta or rice with some kind of tomato based sauce for dinner, usually with white fish or chicken. Today I had a few bananas & apples during the day too coz was hanging around.

Will be waiting for answers here.

some times you need to vary what you eat to kick start the weight loss again, also drink loads of water.... syns are there for a reason, i have heard loads of people saying they dont use them, and when they do they do loose weight

Thanks for Advice - Might mix it up a bit this week and see how it goes - need to go shopping later so will stock up. I kind of always tend to bring HM soup to work with me (mon-wed) so will look for an alternative this week - Maybe couscous with veg or something like that.

And will aim to use more syns this week too

Superwhy that Erin rice that is free can be made in the microwave. Also what about a baked potato and beans (I like to use curried beans). Scrambled egg can be microwaved as well.

What you've mentioned and sometimes the 4 x Ryvita dark rye for my HEB. I used laughing cow light as my HEA on them and add salad.

Grapefruit are superspeed - got lovely red grapefruit in LIDL last week and they are really juicy... need to sprinkle a bit of candarel on them though

Also I sometimes buy the frozen summer fruits in ALDI - lots of berries so all superspeed. Nice with Natural yogurt

this is onlly my first week doing this so still trying to get used to the whole thing but was starving earlier and dinner wasn't for a couple of hrs so had a light hot choc (2syns) with a spoonful of coffee added and a toasted banana and nutella sandwich - bread was free (healthy b option), banana free and nutella is 1.5 for a tsp which was plenty - felt like a real treat and would be ideal if you like your coffee and biscuits in the morning.... only 3.5 for the lot!!!
