What about refueling in the pit lanes? I've been half keeping an eye on how MacClaren do but that's about it. I used to love Mika Hakkinen. Oh now I'm showing my age. I can't believe I've missed so much of it but they stopped showing it on RTE and I didn't have BBC back then poor, only married and starting a family don't cha know.
Pity about the track but it also doesn't surprise me muc and I have a feeling that the speeds are going to be reduced anyway with the crashes over the last couple of weeks. Deaths make changes to Formula 1 and all the way down.
The bit about refuelling in the pit lanes - the teams must now fill their tanks with enough fuel to get them to the end of the race (and leave enough in the tank for the officials to check it). They don't refuel in the pit lanes and haven't for the past 2 seasons (this one and the last one).
They also have a defined number of sets of tyres and they must use both compounds (unless it is a wet race) during the race.
In relation to the Indian Grand Prix - I don't know what it is about Massa & Hamilton but they just keep crashing into each other. It's getting a bit boring now, I want them to stop.
There were officials from the Bahrain GP (which was supposed to be the season opener but was cancelled) helping out at the Indian GP which I thought was great. I also thought that the race itself was good and the track looks like it could be one of the regular ones that will feature for many many seasons to come.
Martin Whitmarsh (Team Principal of McLaren) reportedly said that they should limit the season to 20 races especially as there are many long haul flights (and the expenses etc) involved in getting through the season.
I'm looking forward to seeing the New York/New Jersey race coming on stream and also the new Texas race that is planned for next year.
