Hi girls,

Dd1 is making her communion the end of May. She is not into anything too girlie, (don't get me started on the whole dress issue). She wants to go to play crazy golf and then bowling after the church with a meal in the evening!!

What is everyone else doing on the day?

Tri

With both of mine (boy and girl) we went back to the school for tea/buns and then back to the house for a family get together...
If you are happy to do what she wants, then I'd go for it..

There's a tea and buns thing at the school after the church. We've family coming from Holland for the weekend and we're having a party at the house to celebrate that later.

I'm already down for the third and the 26th, have a few other orders in for May. Will have to put you on the list and see how we go. The prices go up every day too  Being almighty and powerful with the weather does not come cheap you know

Thanks for your replies.
I had originally suggested a party at home but she didn't really want to.
Would prefer to do want she wants but didn't really know if crazy golf and bowling was really suitable on the day. Was thinking of doing them on the Sunday. But hey if that's what she wants I suppose we'll go with it.
Like the sound of tea in the school afterwards but our school don't do anything like that. The kids have a party and class photos on the Monday after the communion.

Thanks again ladies

Yea, we have tea and sandwiches - run by the parent's committee in school afterwards. It is really nice as it allows the kids to see each other before they head off. Then we have family and friends back to the house. I serve a buffet thing and friends come and bring desserts and I reciprocate at theirs.

We're just having a party at home afterwards. Lots of family and some friends. Engol, if you could arrange some sun for the 12th May it would be much appreciated!! If it rains I will be most stressed as I am counting on being able to use the decking, it will be a squash and a squeeze otherwise!!
