Hi ladies, my dd making her communion in early may and we have no dress yet!! are we the only ones not organised??? She has not liked anything we have seen  She is very slim, quite tall and nothing seems to really suit her. Any suggestions for a type of dress? and any ideas where else to go shopping? we have done Debenhams, arnotts, etc. xxx

Have you an idea of the style you want? Would you buy online (I have done before and will be this year too!) If you want I have a load of links LOL

Have you tried Monsoon - they have some lovely white dresses.

I got that one last year for my daughter but you've prob seen it in the shop. It was lovely and simple and she is very tall, and slim. Think I had to get the 12yr old sise for her.

There is a shop in the bloomfield centre in Dun Laoghaire. They have lovely communion dresses, and some were on sake for €50.

I got a fantastic dress for dd in tk maxx yesterday for €26.99.
They had about 6 different styles there.

I heard that heatons have some too.

Cost depends on the site - if you find the same dress on a few then compare them first!! They are usually pretty accurate about despatch times though.

Have you found something nice?

It's a pity dd's communion is years off.
