I have been on the look for warm cardigans preferably wih hoods for my two girls but the majority are cropped. Does nobody need heat these days! Little boys clothes seem to be so much cosier.

I got a few Gap tops for the dd's here, very little else out there. At this stage i do actually get them stuff in the boys department. Esp jeans. Cant get a basic pair of jeans for my 6yo anywhere without being skinny and sparkly.

I agree! I got one long sleeved hoody in Dunnes for dd2 last weekend at least, but there was no choice of colour, baby pink only  . I've also found it hard to find long sleeved tops for her.

I dont want hoodies though, I would like cardigans that could go over dresses or jeans just to layers up in this weather. All the cardigans are so short or thin you could spit through them.

Oh my pet hate too! The boys have any amount of generously sized nice fleecy warm hoodies but it is so hard to get the equivalent for DD. GAP is really the only place with proper ones at this time of year.

She has a couple from Dunnes and Tesco but there is no warmth in them and they are really skimpy even on her and she is skin and bone.

Just see you want cardies.. even worse! Boden or somewhere like that??

For proper cardigans, i have actually gone to our local wool shop and they usually have some there or i have picked from patterns and they got them made up for me.

Yeah I haven't even looked for hoodies as DDs wouldn't wear them. They are in full on princess mode so it's dresses and leggings or rights here all the time. It is just so bloody cold!

Name it and as someone else said M&S. Then check Monsoon and Beneton maybe?
