..... Not only by my husband who is watching the football match, but also my two little girls. Had planned on snuggling with the kids and watching a movie upstairs while the match was on but apparently they'd prefer to watch football :(

Oh well shall console myself with a bath, wine and book so.

Did you enjoy your alternative, that sounded like heaven, I hope you filled it so much with bubbles, put candles lots of them in the bathroom, and brought your book and wine into the bath.
I had a friend in the States who insisted on me taking a bath, ( I was thinking holy god do I smell or what) I agreed, and she had the bath full of lovely smelly bubbly bath, she had a tv in the corner , ( only in the states) with a dvd in the player, the water was hot hot, and she had laid out millions of candles, with a table beside the bath with a bottle of wine, and a box of chocolates beside it..... I have to say I felt like royalty, she told me I wasn't to get out till I was like a prune and pissed... ha ha. It was lovely, like a special treat.
I did it for my sister when she had a baby, I minded the tot, while she had a long , long , long soak, a good read and a bottle of wine, she said it was as good as a weekend away. I do think though someone else has to do it for ya.

I retract my rant.

Just out of a heavenly bath, bit squiffs and kitchen was cleaned during half time for me. Are there any more football competitions coming up?!

Hmm. The kids are asleep, DH will be glued to the internet for the night. I'm tempted to turn on the immersion...
