I've lost the little book thing you get that is a record of your child's jabs, checks, etc. Is this information all stored on some central system somewhere?

Just wondering, as there's a possibility of us leaving Ireland at some point and I know a lot of places want confirmation of immunisations etc.

I'm assuming there must be a central database with it all on, but you know.... it is the HSE, so....... :lookround:

Well the vaccinations nurse rang me to check that DD2 has had all her vaccines because there's no record, the GP forgot to send the records in so I'm assuming yes if she rang me!

Does it not depend on where you get them done? I needed DD's this week for her new school and I found it but hadn't filled them all in  I had to guess the last ones but I knew she got them all on time.

I did think of contacting our GP who did them but 12 years on I wouldn't be too confident of his records, though maybe I'd be surprised.

Sorry, I'm being dim, but what will they have? A replacement book, or a record of all my DS's vaccinations?

Damn, well I know he's had them all, but I'd have to purely guess at when

Your GP should have a copy if that's where your LO was given them (which most are). Next time you're with the GP or practice nurse ask them for a copy of the vaccination record.

He was vaccinated at a few different places, but I'm fairly sure I could track them all down if I really needed to.

I just filled our books in myself so I'd just get another book and fill it in to the best of your knowledge.
