hi
ill just start out by saying i will be bringing my son to the docter before lunch,
My sons has had some vomiting since saturday, but it only seems to be at night and when the stomach is full.
He is starving all day and can tolerate food and drink no problem, it just seems to be at the end of the evening when the stomach is full, does he vomit,
eg Sunday morning 3am, very large vomit, fine all day sunday, slowley introduced food and by evening DS was back to normal and eating small and regular food.
Monday morning, 3:30 am full vomit, again all undigested food, took him to the doctor who confirmed stomach bug and to starve and only drink liquids. so DS only had liquids all monday, and there was no vomit, but very watery diaorriah.
Tuesday DS is back to normal, eating fine all day, no problems, had small portions of breakfast, lunch and dinner. and 8 pm DS vomits again :(

He hasnt had a bowel movement since monday, and complains every so often of a cramp like pain in stomach.

he also has a Hydrocele (liquid filled swelling in scrotum) about 2 weeks now and has that crampy feeling every so often in the last two weeks.

Apart from the hydrocele has anyone had a similar tummy bug that only seems to happen when stomach is full ?

thanks
BT

Couldn't read and not reply. I would say it could be gastro,we're on day 13 of diarrhoea and Starving in this house besides toast and biccies. My sons story is in the oozing scab thread. He got gastro Saturday 3rd of march after 2 days of diarrhoea. He wasn't eating properly anyway, was vomiting between 11pm-4am only, then would make a liar out of me during the day eating toast and keeping it down.

I would go on the BRAT diet,Banana,Rice,Apples And Toast. Try giving rehydration sachets, stay clear of dairy products and anything sugary as could aggravate tummy. My son was in hospital and dr put him on calpol as said its common to get tummy cramps with gastro.

After 5 days of vomit it stopped, still has chronic diarrhoea but still refusing to eat so still on brat diet, although I'm giving him Petit Filous as he hasn't eaten properly in 16 days now so I'm happy with anything he's getting.

Hth xxx

Thanks July 10
your sons illness sounds exactly like my DS. i have to say it did reasure me a little to read your reply.
The doctor checked him over and still satisfied that it was just a bug, hopefully no more sick now

Thanks again x

How's your DS now?

DS finally started eating again and taken off all oral antibiotics so hopefully that will ease his tummy and diarrhoea.

My friends son was vomiting all day and night Wednesday we thought he caught the gastro off my DS but turns out it was just 24hr bug.

There's so many bugs going around nowadays you wouldn't know which is which.

Hope all's well xxx
