Hi,
I used to go to Weight Watchers when it was the old system,it's the system that I know and continue to use.
Any time now I pick up any WW product it literally appears to just have the Propoints points on it and I am
lost . I think it would be reasonable to expect that they would put the propoints value and the old points value
on their product.
Is there a calculation I could use? e.g 1 propoint= x old points.

Thanks in advance,
P.

I'm still using the old system too, I tried the new system for a couple of weeks but just wasn't losing any weight! Do u have an iPhone? The iwatchr app is great, it has a calculator for the new and the old points.

You'd have to work it out from the calories and sat. fats. There's no real way of knowing old v's new as it depends on what the product is, protein content etc. Also sometimes a biscuit for example is 1pp but 2 are 3pp as there are no half pp's

Unfortunately there is no easy conversion from old to new points, it's a completely different system and the leader in our class advised that she can't even help anyone sticking to the old system.

If you'd like I can work out how many pro points you could have per day? At least that way you could use the new system and products if you wanted. You could just keep going with the old points but it is hard when everything has changed over.

Thanks everyone,I just think WW are in a way almost forgetting about all their ww members who lost weight and
reached their targets using the old system. On the old system I was on the 18 points a day system. So in the
world of Propoints how many would that equal too?

You're more than likely be on 29 which is the minimum amt anyone can be on. It doesn't go any lower. I was on 19 on the old system.

Yes I reckon 29 too and you have 49 weekly points as well which people tend to use for drinks/treats etc. No carrying over of daily points because of the weekly allowance but you can still work up and use activity points. fruit and veg free (unless it's tinned fruit in syrup or dried fruit and on the veg side you have to count parsnips, peas and sweetcorn)

If you're not going to class then I reckon you should stick with the old programme. You can work out the (old) points values by dividing the calories by 70, the saturated fat by 4, and adding them both together.

ie
Calories 150
Saturated Fat 2
= 2.5 points

I have gone back to using the old system - Not going to meetings so I am just going to stick with what worked for me . Last year I lost almost 2.5st with WW - the bulk of that was on the old plan. I could just never get along with the new plan at all.... It seemed I was giving them €10 every week to loose and gain the same few lbs so I packed it in altogether - I wasn't working and €10pw was a good bit out of my budget each month.

I have put on almost 1st which isn't good but I am an emotional eater & when under stress I was back into the bad habits, found it very easy to buy the chocolate bar when placed in front of me....

Anyway I have dug out my old books etc and this is my first week. Bit of a shock to the system at the minute, just breaking the habits again but hoping it will be easier next week...

Um, yeah, it's changed. Look at the date on my post!!!

I'm still staying on 29. I'd find it impossible to go any lower than that and not fall off the wagon completely!!

I can only imagine! I find it next to impossible to stick to 29 tbh. I have to be very, very motivated.
