I'm very stuck for a boy's name (Well, I'm very stuck for either but I'm focusing on boys at the moment). DH and I both love Nathaniel but with some reservation. I love the full name but I'm worried that its a bit of a mouthful. I'm not crazy about Nate or Nathan and really don't like Nat as abbreviations. But its really the only name we both like alot so far. Whats the general consensus?

Love this name but same as you, not mad about the shortened versions.

Not a fan sorry and doubt he'd be called by his full name.

Not a fan of Nathan either as I've only ever heard it called Nate-in.

I quite like it, it's unusual but it will definately be shortened to Nat,Nate,Nathan.

I adore the name Nathaniel and not all of them get shortened! I am godmother to my cousins child and her godfather would be my age and still called Nathaniel. I do like Nathan too though, but only pronounced correctly!
