Ours is closed - always gets my goat as it is not a public holiday (just a bank holiday) so most work places (private sector anyway) are open.

Ours is closed Friday and Monday. Have never known a creche to be open on Good Friday in our area, in 16 years of dealing with local creches. DH has never had the day off, and I always have it off luckily.

I should have specified, it's factored into our creche's annual closure time. They're also closed for two weeks over the summer and a few days around Christmas.

Ours is open Good Friday always has been and same over Christmas. Can never understand how creches can close for holiday periods or during the summer.

I agree; I'd be very unimpressed if a crèche told me when to take my holidays. I've had DD in 3 places over the yrs & my sister has worked in a few places & neither of us has come across this practice so I think it could be fairly rare really.
